BMW G87 M2 Cat-Back Exhaust Sound (with Factory-Style Valves!)

Hear the aFe POWER Cat-Back Exhaust System on our G87 BMW M2 that we took to SEMA with valves opened or closed.

We aimed for an aggressive, performance-oriented tone, via a high-flow, high temperature metallic black muffler and mitered merge X-pipe that balances and evenly distributes exhaust pulses, minimizing drone and maximizing scavenging. We made sure it sounds as great as it performs– On the dyno, this system showed gains of +19 HP and +22 lbs. x ft. torque. Finish the look by choosing quad tips in carbon fiber, black or polished finish.

This 304 stainless system is TIG-welded in our Corona, California facility, reflecting our commitment to craftsmanship and durability.

VALVES: This system incorporates factory-style exhaust valves that use the factory valve motors. These valves regulate, direct, and control the flow of exhaust gases by opening, closing, or partially obstructing passageways depending on throttle position, maximizing performance.

The Scorcher works by modifying signals in real time and increasing boost and turbo efficiency. Installation is straight forward, typically taking around 20 minutes, and includes locating the MAP and T-MAP sensors and reconnecting them to AFE's provided harnesses.

MAP & T-MAP locations on the 2024 Tacoma TRD Off-Road:
• The MAP sensor is located on top of the intake manifold.
• The T-MAP sensor is at the front of the engine bay.

💡 Installation tips:
• Most installation issues come from plugging into the wrong sensor. Double-check each harness connection:
• The aFe female connector labeled MAP should plug into the vehicle’s MAP sensor.
• For the T-MAP sensor, connect the aFe female connector labeled T-MAP to the T-MAP sensor, then plug the aFe male connector into the factory engine harness female plug.
• Make sure all connectors are fully seated before powering on the vehicle.
