Issue:
The hood doesn’t close after installing aFe POWER Intake. aFe POWER Logo is touching the hood.
Solution:
Make sure the factory plastic radiator cover is in the correct position before installing the aFe POWER intake. If the radiator cover is not in the correct position, the aFe POWER tube may interfere with the hood and will not allow it to close correctly.
The plastic radiator cover is in the INCORRECT position: The cover shifted towards the front of the vehicle and is positioned on top of the radiator resulting in sitting too high. The lip in the middle of the radiator cover will need to be to be pulled back and placed over the lip of the radiator.
The plastic radiator cover is in the CORRECT position: the lip on the middle of the factory radiator cover sits over the lip of the radiator. The aFe POWER intake can now be installed.
