aFe Exhaust Systems

aFe POWER designs and manufactures performance exhaust systems in Corona, California, for cars, trucks, SUVs, and diesel trucks. From aggressive cat-back and axle-back systems to high-clearance off-road setups, every aFe exhaust is engineered to improve exhaust flow, boost horsepower, and deliver a distinct sound built for your vehicle. Explore our full lineup of exhaust systems, mufflers, headers, and exhaust tips below.

Exhaust Systems Built For Sound

An aFe exhaust system is designed with a sound-first mentality to deliver the right tone at idle, cruise, and wide-open throttle. Whether you want a deep, aggressive growl or a refined, sporty note, our performance mufflers and exhaust valves let you dial in the exact sound for your build.

We publish sound videos for exhaust systems so you can make sure it’s the exact sound you’re looking for.

Stylish Exhaust Tips

A great-sounding exhaust should look just as good as it sounds. Every aFe exhaust system is built with clean, precision welds and a finish that holds up because the overall look of your exhaust matters as much as the tone. The exhaust tips are the finishing statement, lending a custom look to your vehicle. We offer stainless steel tips in polished steel, black powder-coated, carbon fiber, and blue flame finishes, so you can pick one to your taste.

Exhaust Systems Made in the USA

Every aFe exhaust system is fabricated in-house at our Corona, California facility using mandrel tube bending, MIG- and TIG-welding, and dyno-testing to verify real-world performance gains before it ever reaches your vehicle. Made in the USA means tighter tolerances, better fitment, and a system built to last.

aFe POWER builds exhaust systems engineered for every type of vehicle — from euro and sport compacts to American muscle, gas trucks, SUVs/Jeeps, and diesel trucks. Browse by vehicle type below to find the system built for your ride.

Types of Exhaust Systems & Components Offered

Not sure which exhaust system fits your goals? aFe offers cat-back, axle-back, and DPF-back configurations — including off-road exhaust systems built for high ground clearance on trucks and SUVs that see trail use. Here’s a breakdown of each option, along with the mufflers, valves, and tips that complete the build.

Exhaust System Configurations

Cat-Back

A cat-back exhaust system is the most popular exhaust upgrade, replacing everything from the catalytic converter back to the exhaust tip. Upgrading to a cat-back system improves exhaust flow, increases horsepower, and delivers a more aggressive exhaust note than your factory setup.

Axle-Back

An axle-back exhaust system runs from the muffler to the rear axle and out through the exhaust tip, leaving the catalytic converter and resonator untouched. Because they have fewer components, axle-back exhaust systems are generally more affordable than cat-back exhaust systems.

DPF-Back

A DPF-back exhaust system replaces the components from the diesel particulate filter (DPF) to the exhaust tip, leaving the DPF itself untouched. This diesel exhaust upgrade improves exhaust flow and gives your diesel truck a deeper, more powerful exhaust tone.

High-Clearance

For trucks and SUVs built for the trail, aFe offers off-road exhaust configurations engineered for maximum ground clearance, routing the exhaust to avoid rocks, ruts, and obstacles without sacrificing performance or sound. Exhaust Components

Performance Mufflers

Our mufflers produce an aggressive sound during acceleration while maintaining a smooth exhaust note at idle. We implement a high-flow, straight-through design to improve performance and reduced droning.

Exhaust Valves

Many systems work with factory exhaust valves.

For our Gemini XV Models, an electronically controlled valve is installed before the exhaust muffler to quickly switch between mild and aggressive with the push of a button.

Headers & Manifolds

Exhaust Headers and Exhaust Manifolds replace the factory exhaust manifolds. Exhaust Headers are a sound and performance-oriented option, whereas aftermarket exhaust manifolds are a reliable replacement option. Learn more about when to decide when to upgrade to aftermarket headers or manifolds.
