Nissan S13 240SX Throtl Drift Build

The Nissan S13 240SX is a go-to chassis for drifting excellence. aFe’s dyno technician, Luis Perez, is a pro Go-Kart driver and is making his way into professional drifting. He takes his 1989 Nissan S13 out to grassroots racing events. The car before was pretty capable with its RB 25 engine, but still had room for improvement.

Throtl took his car and rebuilt it, and the result was stunning. As documented in the video, the Throtl team started by cleaning out the engine bay, then rerouted the radiator and cooling system with custom fab work to maximize airflow. They moved into the bodywork, installing a Seibon Carbon Hood, fixing dents, and installing the KBD body kit. The interior was cleaned up as well, upgrading to a Sparco steering wheel and racing seats, along with the sturdy protection of an Auto Power Roll Cage. aFe provided a performance air filter upgrade and stylish Takeda exhaust tips. Because this was a drift build, Throtl’s goal was to emphasize suspension and braking over power alone. With an Angle Kit from Pro Shop Max, coilovers from Fortune Auto, and brakes from Wilwood, we got this car dialed in. In addition, with Falken tires and clean Konig wheels, this 240SX looks as great as it performs. With the help of many fantastic companies listed below, this car became a drifting beast.
