How To Install A Scorcher Power Module

One of the best features of the Scorcher BLUE, GT, and HD is the straightforward plug-and-play installation, typically taking under an hour with basic tools. Instructions are included with each device, and you may always contact our Tech Support experts to assist with installation.

Step-by-Step Installation (Example: 3rd Gen Tundra)

 While sensor locations vary by vehicle, the general process is as follows:

  1. Turn off the vehicle before disconnecting any sensors.
  2. Remove the engine cover to access the MAP and T-MAP sensors.
  3. Connect the Scorcher module between the boost sensors and ECU harness.
  4. Attach the power and ground wires to the battery.
  5. Secure the module in a dry, cool location.
  6. Route the LED switch into the cabin for manual control or use the Scorcher Blue app for adjustments.

  3. Will using a piggyback tuner void my vehicle’s warranty?
    1. The Scorcher Module is a plug-and-play device that does not flash your ECU or leave a trace. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void your warranty solely because of an aftermarket part unless it’s proven to be the cause of a failure (15 U.S.C. 2302 (C)).

  4. What if I don’t see a Scorcher for my vehicle?
    1. Availability varies by application. We primarily develop Scorchers for turbocharged vehicles due to the greater boost potential, but we’re always expanding our offerings.
